In the last month we've communicated with just over 100 CFO from a cross section of U.S. businesses. Less than 30% of them were "fully satisfied" with HR organization performance reporting and only 17% were "fully satisfied" with staffing performance measurement. One executive was particularly irate that his recruiting director had started to report candidates saved.
Every single one of the 46 CFOs that subsequently reviewed and responded to our list of HR performance metrics were "fully satisfied" by these staffing metrics.

The language of organization leaders is metrics. If you're not using the right metrics you're not speaking the same language as senior management. And if you're not speaking their language, they may hear you, but they can't take you seriously.
